Server-Side Rendering
Pages render on the server so visitors see content immediately, even on slower Okanagan mobile connections.
Server-side rendering is one of the most impactful performance features I implement for Okanagan business websites. When a potential customer searches for a winery in Summerland or a restaurant in Penticton, the page they land on needs to load instantly. With SSR, the server builds the complete HTML before sending it to the browser, so visitors see your content right away instead of staring at a blank screen while JavaScript loads.
This is especially important in the Okanagan where cell service can be spotty around the lakes and in the valleys. A tourist looking up your tasting room hours from Okanagan Lake doesn't have the bandwidth to wait for a heavy client-side app to boot up. SSR delivers a fully rendered page on the first request.
Beyond user experience, SSR is critical for search engine optimization. Google's crawlers see the complete page content immediately, which means your winery's varietal descriptions, your restaurant's menu, or your real estate listings all get indexed properly. For local businesses competing for visibility in Okanagan search results, this can be the difference between showing up on page one and being buried.
